Empowering Adult Learners through Microcredential Blockchain Integration

The Block.Ed project aims to upskill adult trainers in terms of providing a train the trainer programme for designing microcredentials. The other main aim is to use Blockchain technology to enable verifiable and secure credentialing in Adult Education.

It is funded by the EU under KA220-ADU – Cooperation partnerships in adult education.

The expected outputs are: a validation framework of participating countries, a guide for designing microcredentials, a competency framework, and a course curriculum on an open source platform. The other important pilar is the Blockchain plug-in creating for learners a secure virtual wallet, recognition and ownership of their own learning pathway. For organisations it means secure knowledge sharing, scalability, uniformity, reputation, trust and accountability.

The partnership includes organizations from Slovakia, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, i.e.  ASTRA, AZULChain, IDEC, DIE, HOU and SVEB.

Dissimenation of the results will take place via the open source modules, the website and social media.
