Microcredentials for Renewable Energy Technicians
The MiCRET project, funded under the Erasmus+ Programme (ERASMUS-EDU-2024-POL-EXP,Reference number: 101195980), is closely aligned to the European Green Deal, which seeks to achieve the goal of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. In order to achieve climate neutrality, it is essential that the workforce has the skills necessary to support the growth and upkeep of renewable energy.
MiCRET tackles labor shortages in renewable energy by creating a unified European framework with common standards, cross-border recognition, and stackable credentials.
The chosen method is to use microcredentials an an enabler to upskill Energy Technicians for the Renewable energy sector. Key deliverables are curriculum development, digital learning tools, and mentorship programs. The project emphasizes dissemination through workshops, publications, and online platforms to ensure widespread impact.
This strategic partnership made up by Learningdigital, Lombardini22, World Alliance for Microcredentials foundation and AZULchain also engages with a wider network such as universities, NGOs, and training centers across Europe, fostering collaboration to develop tailored educational resources.
